Dr Pepper Day

It's Dr Pepper celebration time every fall as folks gather for National Dr Pepper day on October 24th in Roanoke, Virginia. This day corresponds with the old Dr Pepper advertising slogan, Drink a Bite to Eat at Ten, Two, and Four o'clock. This great idea was born in 2015, with the first annual celebration taking place with food, fun, and music.

You may be wondering how Dr Pepper became so popular in Roanoke. In 1936, Roanoke became the first city in Virginia to become a bottler of Dr Pepper. Over the years since the city has been devoted to the soda so much, they erected a huge lighted bottle cap sign on top of a downtown building that can be seen for miles. Roanoke has always had one of the highest consumption rates per capita of Dr Pepper in the nation and has won many awards over the years for being in first place. There's a whole lotta Dr Pepper love going on in this beautiful little city nestled on the edge of the Blue Ridge mountains.
